Here are few interesting and important events in the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
1 The last prophet of Allah was born on12th Rabi ul Awwal of the Islamic calendar, 570 AD in Makkah. He was an orphan at the time of his birth, as his father had died before his birth. His father’s name was Abdullah and mother’s name was Amna.Muhammad (PBUH) was well known for his good manners and honesty. He was known as Al-Sadiq (The truthful one) and Al-Amin (The trustworthy one).
2 There are many stories related to his youth. These stories tell us how he used to take the sheep to graze and was always kind to them. While they grazed he would sit thinking about the mysteries of nature. Unlike those around him, he never worshipped the idols and never swore by them.
3 Muhammad (PBUH) would often leave the crowded city and go to the cave in Mountain Hira. He liked to be alone there, away from all thoughts of the world and daily life, eating and drinking little. In his fortieth year, he left Makkah to spend Ramadan, the traditional month of retreat, in the cave. In the second half of Ramadan, Allah began to reveal His message for mankind through Muhammad (PBUH).
4 In 622, Muhammad (PBUH) migrated to Madina by the order of Allah and the Muslims hailed Allah o Akbar on His arrival in joy.
During his stay in Qubaa, he established the first ever mosque, Qubaa in Muslim era. On Friday, Prophet (PBUH) led the Muslims on the Friday prayer and gave his first sermon. Upon his arrival to Madina, Muslim families invited the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to stay with them.
5 In the month of Muharram 11 A.H. he fell ill with a fever which became worse from day to day. When the illness became worse, he sought permission from his wives to spend his final days in the house of his beloved wife Ayesha RA. The last Salaat that he could lead in Jama’at was the Maghrib Salaat .The health of our prophet (PBUH) got worse and on Monday, 12th Rabiul-Awwal 11A.H. the greatest leader of mankind passed away.
